I hope everyone had a good Labor Day weekend and is well rested for another exciting week in the markets. The topic of my TraderPlanet article for this week is a little different than what I normally write about. This week I take a look at one indicator, the percentage of stocks above a moving average, and two ways to apply it to the market.
Here’s a blurb:
Each day I look at hundreds of charts of different stocks, indices, indicators, and time frames to get a feel for what our firm should be invested in and where the risk is greatest within the global market. The percentage of stocks above their moving average can be a great tool in looking for confirmation of a move within equities as well as mean reversion with the market as a whole.
